Mannequins

It all started in Beverly Hills, where I found and photographed mannequins in fancy storefronts. Eventually, I found realistic mannequins closer to home, in thrift store windows, and even atop a car dealership. I found myself projecting my inner world onto the mannequins, imagining human emotions and an intuitive inner world going on in their facial expressions; their forms and shapes and parts of the body that relate to the human experience. These more realistic mannequins are almost nonexistent in the city now, replaced with an impersonal, short metal pole for the face.
